Selling Terms & Conditions

In selling your trainers with etcstore.co.uk you agree to the following terms and conditions. 

1. Timeline

The following timeline details the process followed when selling on etcstore.co.uk.

• Fill out the online form providing details on the trainers you are looking to sell.
• You will receive an email confirming our interest in selling your trainers.
• This email will contain our opinion on the market value for your trainers based on the information you have provided, however the final decision on sale price lies with the private seller.
• A preliminary price will be agreed at this stage and will be detailed in a consignment agreement that will be emailed to you.
• The consignment agreement should be printed, signed, and sent with your trainers.
• You will then need to ship your trainers to etcstore.co.uk (recorded and double boxed).
• All trainers will be inspected thoroughly upon arrival.
• We will email to confirm receipt of your trainers and raise any issues with condition.
• Used trainers will at this stage be cleaned and repackaged.
• Website content will then be created including professional photographs, background information and detailed descriptions of trainers and packaging. 
• Trainers go live on www.etcstore.co.uk.
• If at any point you wish to remove your items from the etcstore website, please email sell@etcstore.co.uk quoting your consignment number. Please refer to the conditions of ending consignment for full details.
• Once the trainers have been sold we will collect money and the trainers will be securely packaged and shipped.
• Brand new trainers- you will receive 85% of the sales price as either a cheque, bank transfer or via paypal.
• Used trainers- you will receive 80% of the sales price as either a cheque, bank transfer or via paypal.

1. Consignment

1.1 The consignment process involves etcstore (the cogsignee) selling trainers on behalf of private sellers (the consignor).

1.2 During consignment, the ownership always remains with the consignor, up until the point where a sale is completed via etcstore.co.uk. All sales are final.

2. Fees

2.1 Following the sale of a pair of BRAND NEW trainers, the private seller will receive 85% of the sale price. A fee of 15% is taken by etcstore.

2.2 Following the sale of a pair of USED trainers, the private seller will receive 80% of the sale price. A fee of 20% is taken by etcstore.

2.3 Payment will be issued within 2 working days via either cheque, bank transfer or Paypal.

3. Prices

3.1 The final decision on price lies with the individual seller. The information we provide on market value should be used only as a guide.

3.2 We are looking to provide market value for both buyer and seller therefore reserve the right to refuse to advertise trainers if we feel the price is massively inflated.

3.3 Prices can be increased/decreased at any time by emailing sell@etcstore.co.uk stating your consignment number. A maximum period of 24 hours is required to action any price change requests. Please be aware, any sales during this 24 hour period at the old price will be final.

4. Condition

4.1 Our interest in a pair of trainers is based on information provided by the seller. Any variation in the described and actual condition may affect the market value and could prevent sale on etcstore.co.uk.

4.2 Upon arrival trainers will be checked in great detail for authenticity and condition. Trainers whose condition is different to that approved will be returned to the seller at their own expense.

5. Ending Consignment

5.1 Ownership of all products still lies with the individual sellers so you have the right to remove your trainers from etcstore.co.uk at any time. To end consignment please email sell@etcstore.co.uk stating the consignment number provided.

5.2 Brand new trainers- We require an initial consignment period of 14 days in which to sell your trainers. If you wish to remove your trainers within this 14 day period we will charge an admin fee of £15 to cover our costs. After this period you can remove your trainers from etcstore.co.uk at any time.

5.3 Used trainers- If you wish to remove your trainers from etcstore.co.uk at any time we will charge an admin fee of £15 to cover the costs incurred from cleaning and repackaging.

5.4 A maximum period of 24 hours however is required between receiving a request to end consignment and the product being removed from etcstore.co.uk. Please be aware that during this period any sales will be final.

5.5 If you decide at any time to remove your trainers from etcstore.co.uk you will be responsible for the return shipping costs. Items cannot be returned until these return shipping costs have been paid.

6. Shipping items to etcstore.co.uk

6.1 All trainers should be sent to etcstore by recorded delivery. We cannot be held responsible for any trainers until they are in our possession.

6.2 All trainers should be sent ‘double boxed’. By this we mean that the actual shoe box is protected by an outer box. We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused during transit or the subsequent affect this damage may have on the sale price.
